Denmark is a member of the European Patent Convention. Section 1(3) of the Danish Consolidate Patents Act conforms to article 52(2) of the EPC . In general, Denmark patent authorities try to conform with the EPO's treatment of computer software. Patent protection is a possibility if a mathematical algorithm is closely connected to a technical process.
There are no regulations that deal specifically with the patentability of software.
There are no cases that deal specifically with the patentability of software.
Mask Works are protected according to Act No. 778 of September 12, 1987 regarding the protection of the topography of Semi Conductors.
Protection was extended to certain countries and territories (citizens of a member state of WTO and certain other countries specifically) by amendment dated December 12, 1996.
