The 1968 Hungarian Patent Act does not deal with computer software. The new Hungarian Patent Act (XXXIII/1995) that came into force on January 1, 1996 includes clauses to bring it into conformity with EPC . In particular, computer programs as such are not patentable.
The Hungarian Patent Office has issued guidelines which include discussion on the patentability of software.
There is no case law that deals specifically with the patentability of software.
