Article 2, paragraph 5 of the Polish Law on Inventiveness of October 19, 1972 (Dz. U. of 1984. No. 33, item 177) computer programs are not patentable. It is believed however that the provision does not exclude the patentability of an invention which includes the use of a computer program as a process control.
There are no regulations that deal specifically with the patentability of software.
There is no case law that deals specifically with the patentability of software.
