Statutes

Article 4 of the Saudi Arabian Patent Law provides that an invention is patentable if it is new or involves an inventive step and is capable of industrial application as a means of offering a practical solution for a defined technological problem. Discoveries, scientific theories and mathematical methods are not patentable.

There are no regulations that deal specifically with the patentability of software.
