Article 4 of the Saudi Arabian Patent Law provides that an invention is patentable if
it is new or involves an inventive step and is capable of industrial application as a
means of offering a practical solution for a defined technological problem. Discoveries,
scientific theories and mathematical methods are not patentable.
There are no regulations that deal specifically with the patentability of software.
There is no case law that deals specifically with the patentability of software.
